High-Performance Braking

Brembo™ front and rear calipers with cross-drilled, two-piece, highly engineered brake rotors haul down the Shelby GT350® in a hurry. The front rotors measure 394 mm (15.5 inches) and in the back they’re 380 mm (14.9 inches). Use of aluminum hats in the rotors helps cut overall weight. The rotors are designed to store and dissipate braking energy during track use.

Transmission Coolers

Transmission coolers help keep the TREMEC® 3160 six-speed transmission at the correct temperatures.

Not everyone understands the thrill of speed and engine prowess. For those that do, the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 is a pillar for American-made automotive intensity. The 2018 model continues this tradition with a pony car fit for the track and busy schedules. Two trims are available that vary primarily within the cabin. Both come equipped with an impressive 526-horsepower 5.2-liter V8 engine and six-speed manual transmission that are surprisingly quiet. Adjustable drive settings, a front-suspension tower brace, three powertrain coolers, adaptive suspension, and Brembo brakes are just a few of the standard features intended to enhance the driving experience. Some of these get upgraded slightly with the GT350R trim to include a front chin splitter, carbon-fiber rear wing, 19-inch carbon-fiber wheels, and special Michelin tires. The base GT350 trim features Recaro front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 4.2-inch center display for Bluetooth connectivity, Sync voice-control programming, smartphone app integration, and Track Apps performance telemetry. Notable packages to further enhance the interior are the Electronics package and the Convenience package. Several of interior features do not come standard on the GT350R trim but are available with the R-electronics package, such as a nine-speaker audio system and an expanded 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with upgraded Sync 3 programming.
